Congratulations to social studies teacher CeCe Lamoreau on being recognized as the December 2019/January 2020 FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 3 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Ms. Lamoreau!

Below is the write up submitted by Mr. Doug Zywiol a colleague of Ms. Lamoreau.

Ms. Lamoreau is the epitome of a great teacher and a great colleague. When faced with an unexpected departure in the Social Studies department, Ms. Lamoreau jumped into action to help provide lesson plans and support for our short-term substitutes. She took time during her planning period, after school, and during her own classes to provide support for the substitute. Just this morning, during her planning period, she was talking about planning and pacing with the substitute who will be in the classroom for the next two weeks. Ms. Lamoreau took the time to coordinate with the tech team to get access to the teacher's Blackboard and Google Classroom. Because of her efforts, the students did not miss a beat during this time period. These students, mostly in self-contained Social Studies classes, are the students who need the most specialized care and attention; Ms. Lamoreau was there to provide it to them without hesitation. Ms. Lamoreau should be honored and recognized for her efforts to go above and beyond the call of duty. The students and staff of Hayfield Secondary are so lucky to have her. I am proud to work alongside her every day and this incident is evidence of that. Thank you, Ms. Lamoreau!
