Hayfield Website Recognized as 'Best of the Web'
Congratulations to the Hayfield Secondary School website and school website administrator Mindy Klein. The Hayfield SS website was recognized as one of six FCPS school websites to be recognized as 'Best of the Web' during a 2020 presentation.
The Best of the Web Awards annually recognizes three elementary schools, one middle school, one secondary or high school, and one special center or academy.
The Hayfield SS website received acclaim for its numerous events, dual (middle and high) attendance forms, comprehensive Student Services section, and its recently added Senior Spotlight.
Our Hayfield website has been an increasingly important medium for communication between school and community for quite a while. However, the impact of COVID-19 and distance learning has clearly illustrated the significance of regularly and creatively communicating with our students and community via our website. Ms. Klein creatively finds ways to make it a pleasurable, informative, and easy experience for all users. She is always looking for new ways to make it better, never resting on past successes. Ms. Klein may not even realize the magnitude of the positive impact of all her hard work has on students, staff, and families. She just does a great job because that is who she is. - Matthew Mough, Associate Principal
Organized by the FCPS Office of Communication and Community Relations, the Best of the Web Awards celebrate schools that create excellent websites to inform and engage readers. The winners remind us of the substantial talent that exists among the community of FCPS school web curators.
