Newly-minted Hayfield Secondary School graduate Eryn Yarrell isn’t afraid of doing things a little out of order. Eryn graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with her associate’s degree last month, 19 days before she crossed the stage to receive her high school diploma.

Hayfield Choir Returns to Competition

The Hayfield Choir is back in action! After a three-year hiatus from Annual Assessments, all choirs received high rankings of Superior in sight reading! Additionally, the Advanced Choir received an overall rating of Superior for their onstage performance, and the Mixed Choir and Middle School Choir both received high Excellents. We are so proud of them!
Hayfield Band Claims Big Honor

The 2021-22 Hayfield Band has been named a Virginia Honor Band. This distinction is awarded to bands achieving superior ratings at the state marching festival and district concert festival. These programs are recognized with the highest honor that can be bestowed upon bands by the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association.
Hayfield Students Win 2022 Peace Award

Two Hawks, Maya Yonas and Ryan Kiefer, have been recognized as young people who work as peacemakers. They responded to pandemic-related stress among students by creating a Guided Meditation Group for Hayfield.
