We would like to update you on our finalized schedule for Monday’s asynchronous day of instruction. Hayfield Mondays will contain four main elements: (1) targeted interventions for specific assigned students, (2) collaborative team office hours for all classes as well as each subschool, (3) a SOAR 4 check-in with students’ SOAR 4 teachers and (4) afternoon collaborative meeting times for all teachers. More specific explanations of all four elements, including the Monday schedule, can be found by clicking on this announcement.
Required Forms Due October 1
This year all student and parent/guardian forms should be turned in online. Please click on this announcement for a list of required forms and submission instructions.

Town Hall - Proposed Admissions Process Changes for TJHSST
There will be a town hall regarding the proposed admissions process changes for Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) on Wednesday, September 23, beginning at 7 p.m. Families and community members can watch online, submit comments and questions or call into the town hall live at 1-800-231-6359.
Schoology at Hayfield
We are excited to share that students, parents, and teachers in our Hayfield Secondary school community will pilot Schoology (pronounced /SKOO-luh-jee/), FCPS’s new learning management system, to engage with learning materials and our school community during the 2020-21 school year. Free Meal Program for All FCPS Students
Grab and Go service hours are 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) with both breakfast and lunch being served at the same time. Bus routes for food distribution are operating Monday through Friday beginning at 6:30 a.m. Specific information about meal distribution locations and bus distribution schedules are available.
Parent Technology Help Desk
To support families who are working with their children during distance learning, Fairfax County Public Schools now has a Parent Technology Help Desk. The number is 1-833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS). It will be answered by staff 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. If the help desk is unable to solve the issue on the phone with the parent or guardian, they will enter a ticket on the parent’s behalf and the request for help will be transferred to the appropriate FCPS team.
Public Library Access
Do you want to check out books from Fairfax County Public Library, but don't have a library card or are afraid of fines? FCPL has started a new program called LEAP (Library Equity Access Pass .) Beginning October 1, LEAP allows you to check out up to 3 books using just your name and student id number. There will be no overdue fines associated with these books. The Fairfax County Public Library is now open for express and curbside checkout. Click here for more information.
