Response to VHSL decision on postseason play.

The College Board announced that 17 FCPS high schools have been named to the Advanced Placement (AP) School Honor Roll. Schools can earn bronze, silver, gold, or platinum distinction. Hayfield Secondary received gold distinction on this list based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

Hayfield's Cross Country team was successful in their first meet of the season at Mark Twain Middle School.

Welcome, Dr. Darin Thompson, the new principal of Hayfield Secondary School!

New York Times bestselling author Scott Reintgen visited Hayfield to talk to students about his books and the writing process. Students that attended the presentation were given a copy of his newest book, A Door in the Dark, and were given the chance to get their new books personally autographed by the author. A Door in the Dark and other books by Scott Reintgen are available to borrow from the Hayfield library.

On Monday, March 27, HS AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) students met with industry professionals to learn more about their paths to college and careers.
